Winning Wednesday
Plan to Win the Week At NorthStar School of Innovation & Leadership, we believe success is intentional. Winning Wednesday is our weekly schoolwide initiative that helps students pause, reflect, and plan to win the rest of the week—academically, behaviorally, and personally. Each Wednesday, students and staff engage in structured goal-setting and reflection aligned to our SOAR expectations and NorthStar values.
What Is Winning Wednesday?
Winning Wednesday is a dedicated moment built into the school week where students: Reflect on their performance so far Identify strengths and areas for growth Set clear, achievable goals for the remainder of the week Recommit to positive behavior and academic effort This practice reinforces accountability, consistency, and growth mindset

Positive School Culture Program
Northstar School of Innovation & Leadership uses a schoolwide system to support positive student behavior and emotional growth. Students earn Eagle of the week awards for academic and behavioral achievement—leading to weekly fun activities, special privileges, and class parties.
Dress Code
Simple expectations help create an equitable and distraction-free environment:
- Tops: Hunter green, navy blue, and black polos (cardigans and blazers)
- Bottoms: Black, khaki, or navy pants/shorts
- Shoes/Accessories: Closed-toe (No Crocs, slides, or foam runners)
Parent Involvement Opportunities
Families are welcome and encouraged to participate in classroom activities, after-school events, and schoolwide celebrations.
